Early 70s
In the early 70's a 40-year-old bus driver decided to build a small hotel in Plakias.
The fact that at that time only a few tourists visited the small fishing village, could not dissuade him from his conviction to do the right thing. Like this Stelios Koumentakis, put his own foundation stone for the beginning of tourism in Plakias. It was probably the first hotel in the wider region, which at that time already had rooms with private bathroom and balcony.
His wife, Eleni kept the room spotless. The three daughters helped them with all necessary work in the hotel, as best they could. All five created a pleasant atmosphere for the guests.
He chose the name of the hotel "Livikon" after the name of the Libyan sea, which always looked on his life.

Late 90s
The hotel was given to the younger daughter of the family, Georgia, and her husband Dionysis.
Over the years, Hotel Livikon changed through many renovations inside and outside its appearance according to the requirements of the time.
But what has not changed since the beginning is the love for what the family is doing, and the hospitality that comes naturally from inside, because they had learned it like that.

On the ground floor we run the snack bar Café Livikon for all holiday guests of Plakias.
Normally, the whole family, from the younger members to the grandmother Eleni who is still fully in action, are gathering here.

Georgia provides you with delicious snacks, salads and ice cream.

Dionysis, always cheerful and of inexhaustible humor, will mix delicious cocktails that only he knows how to do, for you.
